About Us

Mission Statement:

Serenity House is committed to providing a structured transitional facility for men in an atmosphere of strength and fellowship to assist residents in learning self-discipline to maintain a productive life without the use of alcohol and other drugs. Our primary focus is to empower residents to find a way of living with spirituality, health, dignity and self-respect.

Serenity House is a 48 bed transitional residence based on the principles and philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous. Serenity House is self-supporting. The Facility is regularly inspected and meets all safety, fire zoning, township and state codes. Serenity House saves the surrounding taxpayer communities more than $2 million annually. Day to day operating costs are raised by the board of directors and special events committee.

Residents must find gainful employment after entry to the house. Each resident must agree to stay a minimum of 90 days.

Support Center

Vision Statement: 

To provide a safe-haven multi-room support center for men, women, and youth available to the 12-step community.

​

Construction has begun on the 10,000+ Square Feet support center that will sit next to Serenity House. It will house public and private meeting space with large meeting rooms and small gathering centers. It will function as a gathering place for the Serenity House residents, the larger community, and the cities of Jeffersonville and Clarksville.
